Who I Am

Paul Barratt

My name is Paul Barratt, I’m a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and I’ve been running my hypnotherapy practice in Wymondham for over 10 years now. I’d be the first to admit that when I first started on the path of training to be a hypnotherapist, I didn’t quite appreciate the powerful, life changing results this gentle therapy could provide. I also underestimated just how much of a rewarding career choice hypnotherapy would be. Now, I can proudly claim to have worked with many hundreds of clients helping them to overcome a wide range of issues.

Hypnotherapy and client success has now become my passion. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the positive changes people make through the hypnotherapy sessions we have together. Helping clients to realise and appreciate they no longer have to feel, react or be the way they once were.

I really do appreciate that every client is unique and the issues they wish to overcome are personal to them. For this reason, I do not use a one size fits all approach. I adapt and change hypnotherapy and associated techniques to suit you, the individual. In turn this helps to ensure the most successful outcome in the shortest time possible.

Qualifications

I hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD), which is largely considered to be the Gold Standard in hypnotherapy training. In addition to hypnotherapy, I am trained in the use of many other therapy techniques, some of which are listed below. When used in conjunction with hypnotherapy they help to enable fast, long lasting, results.

How We Can Help

Hypnotherapy

For many hypnotherapy is a last port of call. Perhaps they’ve visited their GP, or are on a waiting list to receive counselling, tried Slimming World or given nicotine patches a go.

Anxiety

It’s perfectly normal to feel anxious, fearful, or worried in certain situations but when a continuous feeling of anxiety prevents you from doing the things you want to do and has a negative impact on your everyday life then you may have an anxiety disorder.

Fears & Phobias

A phobia is an extreme fear of, or aversion to, an activity, place, animal or insect, object, person, or a given situation, which in turn has a detrimental impact to the way you behave or operate in your daily life.

Confidence and Self-Esteem

Having a poor opinion of yourself, low self-esteem or lack of confidence can often derive from childhood. Perhaps something didn’t go according to plan? Maybe, a teacher, parent or friend said you weren’t very good at something, or you didn’t look good in what you were wearing.

Stress

Stress is the body’s automatic response to mental or emotional pressure. It’s sometimes called a fight or flight response where the bodies stress hormone levels increase due to a real or perceived threat. Stress alone is not considered an illness but if stress levels remain higher than normal for a long period of time it can lead to anxiety and depression.
